  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Responsible for managing both Customer Service Coordinators and clinical float staff, including Certified Medical assistants and Nurse Practitioners, to meet the interim needs of Baptist Medical Group. This position serves as a liaison between staff and BMG leadership. Maintains awareness of long and short term staffing needs of clinics. This position may coordinate or oversee the deployment of all clinical float staff to ensure the filling of positions temporarily unoccupied and is responsible for creating tactical and strategic plans to address interim staffing needs. Using their clinical knowledge and experience, the Float Pool Manager ensures that front desk and clinical float staff are fully qualified, trained and meet the highest BMG standards. Has direct supervision and accountability for all positions, employees, operations and activities within assigned patient care area, including coordination of staff training, assigning and reviewing work, and evaluating performance independently or in conjunction with clinic administrator or higher level supervisor/manager. Performs others duties as assigned



    Minimum Required


    Preferred / Desired


    5 years of clinical experience; 2 years of supervisory experience


    5 years supervisory experience, clinic supervisory experience













    Approved nursing course


    Special Skills

    Computer literacy, BLS


    Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
