Overview and Responsibilities
To administer patient care and meet the patient's physical and psychosocial needs under the supervision of the Physician, Certified Nurse Practitioner and Clinic Manager in the outpatient clinic setting as well as rounding in hospital inpatient, outpatient and procedure areas. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to answering phones, filing, maintenance of medical records, message delivery, and accurate data entry. Perform drug screening collection and other occupational health related screenings as needed. Independently resolve patient concerns/complaints, escalating appropriately if resolution cannot be reached. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education: Graduate of School of Nursing-Accredited Required. *** Experience: 1 year Registered Nurse-Clinic Specialty Preferred. *** License/Certification/Registries (valid for the State of MS): Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification within 90 Days of Employment Required. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: Basic EKG, Drug Screening certification within 1 year of employment Required. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH: Drug Screening certification Preferred. *** Skills: Type 45 WPM, able to operate PC, various office equipment, and basic alpha/numeric filing. Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor at all times. Competent in medical procedural coding (CPT, ICD-9) preferred.
