  • Overview and Responsibilities

                                                                            Director of Quality Care Coordination at Memphis

     

     

    Purpose and Responsibility

     

    Provides innovative leadership to maximize the Quality Care Coordination’s contribution to the overall hospital performance.  Responsible for the daily management and operations of the Quality Care Coordination services by providing effective human and financial resource leadership, work organization and professional growth opportunities to employees.  Plans effectively to assure that quality care coordination goals and objectives are in line with the mission of Baptist Memorial Hospital to deliver safe, quality patient care and create a safe employee environment in a financially responsible manner.  Works to enhance or create mechanisms that will facilitate compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and requirements of accrediting organizations.  Incumbent is accountable for the Quality Care Coordination management 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Qualifications

     

           Minimum Qualifications

     

    Knowledge and Skills 

    • Advanced clinical knowledge in area of expertise
    • Thorough knowledge of the payer industry, resource management, and reimbursement
    • Thorough knowledge of care coordination activities
    • Skills needed to organize, prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely and efficient manner
    • Skills needed to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
    • Skills needed for superior guest relations and customer service
    • Skills needed for advanced computer applications

     

     

    Education

     

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

     

    Experience

     

    • At least five (5) years of recent professional practice experience in an acute care setting required
    • Three (3) years of care coordination experience in an acute care setting required
    • Three (3) years management experience in an acute care setting preferred

     

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

     

    • Current state license to practices as a Registered Nurse (RN)
