  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Leads and develops the BMHCC system strategy for implementation of  system–wide, team based, integrated clinical care models to achieve designated quality and financial outcomes through effective and efficient utilization of Advanced Practice Providers(APP) and optimal deployment of care team members across the care continuum. Partners with physician and operational leaders across the system to drive mission-driven clinical transformation and APP care model innovation to enhance integrated care delivery services, allow better precision and predicting patient outcomes and to ensure efficient use of human capital and financial resources. Oversees the adherence to professional standards for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and Physician Assistants(PAs), including credentialing, privileging and competencies and state regulations for states in which Baptist APPs function. Establishes educational programs for practitioners in partnership with universities and clinical sites to increase availability of professionals needed to meet BMHCC strategic goals.

    Qualifications

    • Doctoral degree
    • Certification in advanced practice focus area of practice
    • Active Registered Nurse Licensure
    • Ten years of experience in a highly responsible healthcare organization management role or clinical department management role. At least five years of those years must be at a Director level or higher
    • Experience in a complex, multi-function environment
    • Ability to align multiple groups with divergent objectives and priorities toward a common goal
    • Ability to plan, manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Knowledge of industry standards in healthcare services
    • Financial management skills
    • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
    • Change leadership expertise
    • Five or more years of clinical experience in an advanced practice role.
    • Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with administrative staff, physicians, and staff in the implementation and administration of service and program delivery within a service/market area.
